What exactly is changing?
Until now, we Dutch citizens could travel to Namibia without a visa for holidays up to 90 days. This means that you must arrange a visa before your trip.
How do you apply for a visa?
You have two options:
- Visa on Arrival (VOA): Upon arrival in Namibia, you can obtain a visa at the airport. Paper forms will have to be filled in manually. The cost for this is NAD 1.600, which is approximately €80 per person.
- Electronic Visa (e-Visa): To avoid waiting times, you can book in advance Apply for an e-Visa online through the official Namibian government website. The cost and validity are the same as the visa on arrival.
Important tips:
- Passport requirements: Make sure you passport is valid for at least six months upon departure from Namibia.
- Travel with children: Children need their own passport. In addition, you must be able to show a birth certificate for children under 18. See: netherlandsworldwide.nl
