Mauritius is a special long-distance destination for both families and couples (who may even be on their honeymoon). The island is both a cultural and exotic destination with lots of history, sun, green nature, palm trees and beautiful reefs for snorkeling and diving. I visited Mauritius to discover all this with my own eyes. During this trip I stayed in a number of hotels (in different price ranges) to provide you with practical information. I try to answer the following questions:

- Which hotel gives you the most value for your money?
- Which hotel is the most exclusive or luxurious?
- For which type of traveler is the hotel best suited?

The swimming pools
There are plenty of swimming pools at the resort. Three beautiful infinity pools more or less flow into each other at the lobby and restaurant (first photo below). A little further down you have two shallow swimming pools where the children can play and swim safely.
There is also a large swimming pool on the other side of the resort (no photo of it).

The private beach
As you can see from the various photos in this article, I let my drone fly for a while to get a better perspective. The private beach is beautiful white and there are plenty of places to relax. What I find striking about this resort (and other resorts in Mauritius) is that although they are often fully booked, they never feel busy. However, the photo below was taken at 7 o'clock in the morning. You will obviously see a few more people here in the afternoon.
Design and furnishings
What I think Zilwa Attitude has done very nicely in terms of design and layout is that the various swimming pools extend to the restaurants and lobbies, including many beautiful palm trees. This way you have a tropical feeling wherever you are dining or relaxing.

The layout of the resort is as follows: The buildings are more or less arranged in two semicircles. They have done this cleverly because this layout gives you a view of the beautiful garden from almost every room and from the majority of the rooms you can also partly see the sea.

Tip:: From couple deluxe beachfront rooms of Zilwa Attitude Hotel are ideal for couples aged 18 and over. These rooms have a sea view as standard. The couples beachfront rooms have a hot tub on the balcony and look directly out to sea.
