Heritage Le Telfair is a special hotel that combines luxury with history. Located on the south coast of Mauritius, this hotel offers an elegant experience that you won't find anywhere else. The hotel is almost entirely inspired by French colonial architecture and is therefore unique in its kind.

Instagrammable paradise
The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and its extensive golf courses and award-winning spa are known worldwide. It is a perfect choice for those looking for a luxurious escape with a touch of history and authenticity.
Although these are certainly notable advantages of this resort, I am especially enthusiastic about the French-Colonial architectural style. I'm not really into Instagram hotspots myself, but if you're looking for a place to take beautiful photos, you can really enjoy yourself here. The photo below that I took of colleague Naomi (@authenticchica) could easily go into a travel magazine as far as I'm concerned.

A spacious, luxurious and tropical experience
The spacious resort never feels busy. There is a lot of space between the buildings with many beautiful trees and plants in between. The long, white sandy beach and turquoise water complete the tropical experience. Even when the resort is fully booked, it will never feel crowded due to its spacious layout. This contributes to the luxurious experience.
The drone photo I took below shows the tropical vibes of this resort extremely well. The beautiful white sandy beach radiates from whichever angle you look. I loved relaxing here while reading or looking for photos.

Something I couldn't see clearly from the beach, but I could see it from the air, is that Heritage Le Telfair also has an Underground Waterfall (the optical illusion that makes it look like there is a waterfall under water) right in front of the resort! So here's the tip to discover it while snorkeling during your visit.
