Denmark
Denmark is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe. Add Greenland and the Faroe Islands and you have the Kingdom of Denmark. The country of Denmark is a small but nice country that borders the north of Germany. More than 5,5 million Danes live and work here in charming cities such as the capital Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. Danes are known for being hip and modern, while they can look back on a rich and noteworthy history. What makes traveling to Denmark especially attractive: you can be there within six hours by car! It is also a perfect place to tour through Scandinavia to start.
Fishing villages and sandy beaches
Denmark is a fishing country par excellence, with many authentic fishing villages. The countless islands – more than 500 in total – are part of Denmark's unique coastline. There are also more than enough sandy beaches where you can relax. The peace and space that you will find on the islands of Møn, Zealand and Lolland-Falster will not be easily encountered anywhere else in Europe.
