Skyway Mont Blanc

Skyway is a mountain cable car that takes you from Courmayeur (Location here) high into the mountains. The construction itself is already a sight to see. The cable car has three stations: in the valley at an altitude of 1300 meters, it Flagstation at 2173 meters altitude, and the highest point, Helbronner Point, at an altitude of 3466 meters.

Viewpoints

The view from the higher stations is breathtaking. In clear weather you can Mont Blanc (4810 m) and surrounding peaks such as Mount Cursed (4468 m) in Dente del Gigante (4014 m) good visibility. Even in cloudy and rainy weather, there are sometimes times when the peaks show themselves through the clouds. As far as I'm concerned, it's always worth it!

Infinity room

Luckily, Skyway has come up with another way to let you enjoy the mountains: the Infinity room. In this room you find yourself between LED walls on which shots of the mountain environment are displayed. In just ten minutes you can fly over the top of Mont Blanc and get lost in an autumn forest. All the different emotions and seasons are summarized in these images, which gives a surreal impression.

Other experiences

Skyway is not only a cable car, but also offers various other experiences. In addition to the breathtaking views and the Infinity Room, you can dine there, visit the museum and learn more about a special wine production. Gran Paradise National Park

For lovers of nature and walking Gran Paradiso NP a true paradise. The park is named after the highest mountain peak in the area, the Gran Paradiso, with a height of 4061 meters. However, this is not the only high mountain peak in the park; also the grivola (3969 m) in de Herbetet (3778 m) tower over the landscape, along with many other peaks. The park's main glacier is the Ghiacciaio del Gran Paradiso, located on the north side of the Gran Paradiso.

Gran Paradiso National Park not only offers extensive forest areas, hiking trails, a botanical garden and glaciers, but is also home to a rich fauna. It is not without reason that the park's logo shows an ibex, because there are no fewer than 3000 specimens living there. You will also find approximately 8000 chamois, as well as bearded vultures, marmots and countless other animals.

Fortunately, the high facades of 22 meters have been so well preserved that they are clearly visible from a distance. The theater was designed for theater performances, musical performances and other cultural events. If you do have the opportunity to visit it, you will get an impression of how grand it must have originally been.

From sfeer

Aosta not only has a rich history, but also a lively atmosphere. Narrow, colorful streets with terraces and shops, and a square here and there, make it a pleasant place. Every year there is a craft festival called Sant'Orso Fair which attracts many visitors. You can also enjoy local dishes such as polenta and regional wines in one of the restaurants.

From the city it is clearly visible that you are in the valley, with the high, white mountain peaks in the background.

The castle, Aymavilles Castle, is clearly the eye-catcher of the municipality Aymavilles. It looks like a castle from a fairy tale because of its four high towers.

From the village you have a beautiful view of the impressive surroundings with the Alpine landscape and the Gran Paradiso, and a deep view of the valley.

The bridge

The bridge is not only functional, but also a piece of beautiful architecture that is well preserved and shows the rich history of the region. The bridge was probably used on two different levels: the upper part for draining water and the covered part for the passage of people and animals.

It is possible to walk over the bridge or go through it. You do need an entrance ticket for the latter.
