Spain

Home » Europa » Spain

Spain is a favorite travel destination among the Dutch. And for good reason. Almost always sun, beautiful beaches, excellent tapas and overwhelming cities such as Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. The Mediterranean country with its fiery history is full of southern European temperament. You can explore Spain all year round. Trekking through the Spanish Plateau or Sierra Nevada you soon see that Spain is more than the crowded beaches on the Mediterranean Sea. Andalusia is also a beautiful but often forgotten area. There are big differences between the cities and certainly Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Salamanca, San Sebastian, Malaga, Valencia and Granada are great cities to visit with beautiful architecture, good food, drinks and good museums.

La Rambla!

The seaside resorts in Spain no longer hold any secrets for many travelers. Lloret de Mar, Marbella, Salou and Sitges have been crowded for years. And what about the atmospheric Spanish cities? Valencia with its Parque Natural de la Albufera and stately city center, Barcelona with the Sagrada Família and La Rambla, San Sebastian with its characteristic port or capital Madrid with Palacio Real.

We go to the beach

The Spanish landscape is impressive. The stately Pyrenees can be seen as far as Galicia, the Iberian Mountains are the perfect backdrop for mountain climbers and sporty cyclists. You can also take refuge on the beaches of the Spanish islands such as the Balearic Islands – Ibiza is one of them! – and the Canary Islands. Vamos a la playa! If you want something completely different, visit the tomato throwing festival 'La Tomatina' in Buñol. More excitement and sensation in Spain? Then a round of bull runs in Pamplona might be more for you.
