2. Piscinas de Bajamar

In the north of Tenerife, nearby San Cristobal de La Laguna, lies Piscinas de Bajamar. This natural swimming pool is located next to a small golden beach. The pool is perfect for all types of swimmers; here you can enjoy a quiet swim in the green-blue sea water while the waves crash against the rocks. The pool is surrounded by black rocks and is also suitable for people with reduced mobility thanks to the walking path. The natural pool consists of two large pools and a smaller pool for children, ideal for spending a day with the family. There are also various facilities such as changing rooms, lifeguard and restaurants.

3. El Caleton

During the last eruption of the Trevejo volcano in 1706, a large part of the historic village of Garachico was buried under the lava. The lava, in contact with the sea, formed natural ponds that today are one of the main attractions of this municipality.

The saltwater pools of El Caletón are surrounded by beautiful lava formations, cliffs of La Culata and the vistas of the northern coast. Accessed via landscaped steps, the pools are suitable for everyone as the water is usually calm, but you should nevertheless be careful with the waves which can be quite fierce in this area. The area around El Caletón and the Atlantic Ocean has a healing effect. The fresh sea scent and sounds of the ocean provide new energy.

4. Charco los Chochos

You simply cannot miss this magical place in the village of Los Silos. Successive volcanic eruptions have created whimsical shapes that have made possible this beautiful saltwater pool, where you can swim in a very special environment. The Los Chochos swimming pool is located next to the La Araña swimming pool and has a depth of 2 metres. Los Chochos is easily reached by a stone staircase with a handrail. 6. Charco del Viento

Charcho del Viento is a small bay in the Santa Catalina district, La Guancha. It is visited by both the residents and tourists. That's because it is one of the most easily accessible baths in the north. This small natural bay was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption that created two lava arms. This allows you to explore the underwater world by snorkeling or fishing. The lava arms protect the area against strong waves, allowing you to enjoy the sea water.
