Bali | 10x nice spots for the most beautiful sunset

Hi! I'm Lesley and i live in bali† In this blog I will tell you where to go for the most beautiful sunset in Bali. The best thing is of course to watch a sunset from the beach. But from which beach can you do that best? And maybe you also want to drink a nice cocktail with it, or some snacks with dinner? A beautiful sunset also depends on where you are, of course, but you also have to be lucky with the clouds that they don't block the view of the sun. I have been to a number of places myself and these are the most beautiful places that I can recommend to you.

10x the most beautiful sunsets in Bali

1. Single Fin / Blue point beach in Uluwatu

Uluwatu is a great place to watch the sunset. There are a number of beaches in Uluwatu where you can go to see the sunset. But I think it's best to go to "Blue point" to go. This is a small beach where the water is actually too low for swimming. Also, there are a lot of rocks at the beginning when you go into the water. This is a popular beach for surfers. The best part is that you have super cozy restaurants here on the cliff. My favorite: Single fin.

This is a restaurant/bar where many surfers come to relax after their surf session. But of course if you are not a surfer, you are also very welcome here. In this restaurant you have a beautiful view over the sea, you can see the surfers surfing and you have an incredibly beautiful sunset. On Sunday evenings there are live bands playing and they have a DJ.

2. Belangan Beach

Blue point in Uluwatu is one of the nicest places to go to to watch the sun go down. But Belangen Beach should not be missed when you are in Bali. This beach is located in the south of Kuta and also close to Uluwatu. Unfortunately, this beach is also not really swimable because there are many stones/coral in the beginning of the water. But you do have a very nice view here, and a great sunset. This is a popular beach where photo shoots are often taken, for example for a wedding.

3.Uluwatu Temple

Yes, one more time Uluwatu because if you visit 1 of the most famous temples (where you can also watch the Kacak & Fire dance) you also get one of the beautiful sunsets on Bali. So it is not only a beautiful Temple that you can see here, also the Kacak dance is performed here. Which you can also view at sunset at the Temple (but then it is usually busy, so be on time to buy the tickets). You also have monkeys walking around here so you have seen them immediately (be careful with your belongings).

4. Canggu

There are several beaches on Canggu where you can watch the sunset. Berawa, Batu belong, Pererenan, in itself you can watch a beautiful sunset from all these beaches (if it is not cloudy). What I like about these beaches is that you can sit on such a seat cushion with a nice drink. It is often very cozy and later in the evening there are also bands playing.

5.Discovery Mall

Discovery Mall is a shopping center where you can enjoy shopping. But there is more than just shopping in this mall. They also have a small salon where you can get a massage, have your nails done, etc. And you can eat and drink there. They have super nice restaurants in and outside the mall. Of course there is also a beautiful sunset. If you go outside at the back of the shopping center you can watch a beautiful sunset.

6. Petitenget

This is a simple beach, but still very beautiful of course. I think you can compare this beach a bit with those in Canggu, Kuta and Legian. But why I call this beach and what I really like about this beach myself, is that you can take beautiful pictures on a swing. Always nice of course, because this of course produces beautiful pictures for you Instagram (or something else)

7.Ubud

How beautiful is it to watch a Bali sunset over a rice field? I can tell you it is beautiful, and I can dream away in it. Ubud is known for the rice fields and the beautiful green nature. You can find a nice restaurant to watch the sun go down. But which is also a nice opportunity to watch the sunset from a beautiful villa.

I'm quite a fan of the second. You have so many choices in Ubud with nice villas and hotels. And I also find the prices very pleasant. A sunset in Ubud is a must-see.

8. Airside in Canggu

I already mentioned in point 4 that you can see a beautiful sunset from the beach in Canggu. But I think this place should also be called “Airside”. Because here you can sit, dine, have a drink and enjoy a beautiful sunset. This is not to be missed when you are in Bali. Airside is therefore a restaurant with all kinds of things on the menu, such as pizza, sushi, steak, fish, etc. Enough choice and on certain days there is also live music. Always cosy!

9. Double Six Beach in Seminyak

This is a comparable beach with Kuta and Legian. But this is a popular place. The beach is opposite Double six and that is why this beach is also called “Double six”. Double six is a luxury hotel/bar. Of course this attracts many tourists, because it has such a well-known name. On the beach itself there are chairs and tables where you can order local snacks such as: Indomie and bakso. There are people walking around on the beach selling various products. They sell souvenirs but also items. These are sesame balls made with flour and sugar, very tasty and you should definitely try them.

10. Discover places yourself

Can't get enough of the sunsets in Bali? Then it might also be nice to have one sunset tour to book! It is also a fun activity to drive around with your scooter in search of beautiful spots for an unforgettable sunset.
