Yes, you often need a visa to Thailand depending on the length of your stay and your nationality. There are several types of visas available to travelers to Thailand, including visa-free stay, tourist visa, and non-immigrant visa.

Visa-free stay

Some nationalities, including Dutch nationals, can enter Thailand visa-free for a limited period of time (usually 30 days). This can be requested upon arrival at a Thai airport or border crossing with a valid passport with at least 6 months validity after arrival.

tourist visa

If you want to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days, you can book a Apply for a tourist visa. This is a 60-day valid visa and can be applied for at the Thai embassy or consulate in the Netherlands. It often requires filling out a form, a passport photo and proof of income or a return ticket.

Non-immigrant visa

If you want to move to Thailand for a longer period of time or want to work there, you should consider a Non-immigrant visa to request. This is a valid visa for 6 months or longer and often requires an invitation from an employer or a statement of income.

Please note that visa requirements are subject to change and it is best to obtain and verify the latest information with the Thai Embassy or Consulate in the Netherlands.
