Economical car sharing

A small, economical car may not be the first thing you think of when you think of a big one roadtrip through Europe. But why not? Especially if you can share the cost of the ride with family or friends, it can be a cheap, if not the cheapest option to travel in Europe.

You will sometimes have to wait a little longer before you get to your destination, but with a smile in your pocket you are always a winner. People are more likely to trust someone who smiles than someone who looks sullen. With a smile, your best foot forward and your thumb in the air, it won't be long before you get a ride.

PS. People who take hitchhikers with them sometimes also appreciate a small contribution to fill up with a few liters of fuel! It's a nice gesture to thank someone who brought you extra when you get out.

Success!
