Taste Italy | 6x good food in Naples

Italy is perfect and Naples is great. Naples is different from other Italian cities.
In this blog I write about cozy places that are more than worth visiting and especially the places where you can eat well in Naples!

1. Trattoria nennella

As I wrote above, Naples is different from the rest of Italy. The population is friendly and this is especially evident at trattoria Nenella. This trattoria is located on the Quartieri Spagnoli, where there are several cozy restaurants. Once we got to Nennella we thought what's going on here? The waiters shouted, danced and made one big party. And trust me, this isn't a one-off, it happens literally every night!

One big party at Trattoria Nenella

Drums and horns are conjured up especially after 21 pm.
You already have a complete menu for 12 euros! The locals mainly come here to enjoy themselves after a long working day. We loved it and ate here 3 nights in a row. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for 1 week after that due to holiday. So it was time for us to look for other tents. Vegetarians can eat here too! I found the Nennella salad perfetto! The owner Ciro is great and afterwards you get a coupon for free Italian coffee!

2. Sweet Sleep Napoli – Breakfast like a king

What are they saying again? Breakfast like a king, lunch as a a nobleman and dine as a a beggar. Breakfast is an important meal for me. Italians are quickly full with a Cappuccino and a crossaint. I need something more. When I'm traveling I walk a lot of miles a day and I need to have a good breakfast.

Extensive breakfast

Sweet Sleep Napoli is a B&B, but even if you don't spend the night there, you can still have breakfast there. You pay 5 euros per person and you can choose croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, omelette, muesli. In short, enough to have breakfast like a king! You can have breakfast there from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

3. Cavoli Nostri Veg & Veggie restaurant

What if you don't feel like it Pizza and Pasta? That happened to us, we just wanted to eat healthy! Cavoli Nostri is the ultimate place for vegetarians! This place is luxurious, clean and you get your money's worth. We have eaten here 5 times and all 5 times the food was excellent! You can choose here for vegetarian burgers and bowls.

My favorite is the Cavoli Nostri burger. You get a vegetarian burger with homemade chips, to die for! As an appetizer you get homemade olive bread (grrr carbs, oh well, vacation). Now that I'm writing about it, I already want to go back, if only for the delicious food!

4. A Figlia d'o Luciano

You know you're eating well when the locals come and when it's busy. Well, I can tell you that A Figlia d'o Luciano was bomb, but packed every night! So we thought let's have dinner here. Eating out in Naples is cheap, but A Figlia d'o Luciano is DIRT CHEAP! Prices for a pasta are available from 3 euros.

The bruschettas are delicious as a starter and as a main course I recommend a Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. You only pay 4 euros for a whole bottle of wine!
The people who work there are so friendly! Due to the lack of language, communication went hand and foot!

5. L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele

Many had already gone before us and ate THE PIZZA. Not just any pizza, but a pizza from L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele. Also known from the movie Eat, Pray and Love. It is said that this restaurant is No. 1 in Italy and even in the world.
This restaurant is always full and there is always a line. For 5 euros you have a delicious pizza that will keep you full for hours, but also hours! Hmm...I'm getting hungry again.
Did you say Pizza?! I'm coming.

6. Dessert time at Casa Infante

I just always have to eat dessert. Even if I'm full, I don't care, dessert is part of it. You can eat the best desserts in Naples at Casa Infante. Babysitter is a typical Neapolitan dessert. It is a small pastry soaked in rum. For the real lovers of sweet things you can also take a Babá with cream! You also have ice cream at Casa Infante and other tasty sweet treats.
