To be fair, Dutch cuisine is not particularly refined. Every now and then cooking according to another world cuisine is therefore a pleasant change. Could you use a little inspiration in that regard? In this article we take you on culinary 'world trip' through 6 mouthwatering foreign dishes.
Spain: Paella
Paella is a traditional Spanish rice dish that stands out because of its deep yellow color. The rice owes its color to the saffron that is cooked with the rice. Depending on the region where the recipe comes from and of course on your personal preferences, it is served with meat, fish or shellfish (or a combination thereof).
Thailand: Pad Thai
Pad Thai is one of the most popular dishes in the world. It owes its popularity to its simplicity and taste. A good Pad Thai contains (flat) rice noodles, egg, tofu, king prawns, bean sprouts, spring onions, peanuts and lime. The sauce is made from tamarind beans, but you can also simply buy it in a jar.

India: curry
Indian cuisine is known for its scents, colors and flavors that are as diverse as the country itself. Dishes are defined by herbs, spices and vegetables. A worldwide traditional Indian dish is curry. This stands for a fragrant sauce that is served with meat (except beef, the cow is sacred) and vegetarian (a quarter of the population does not eat meat).
Bobotie: South Africa
Bobotie is perhaps the most famous and most popular dish in South Africa† It consists of ground beef, eggs, milk, bread and raisins. There are various types of preparations for this dish, but often fruit is added, such as apple, banana or mango (chutney). This makes the dish a special combination of savory and sweet.
