In 2022 and 2023 we, Chris and Malou – owners of Wereldreizigers.nl (which means World Travelers), are traveling overland for at least one year through the United States of America and Canada. We shipped our 4×4 motorhome to the Americas. Organizing this trip however was far from easy!
For example, arranging a long term US visa for 12 months was truly time consuming and demotivating process. then shipping our motorhome was another enormous challenge. Finally we had to organize everything at home and insure our motor home in America which was another tough task. When all that was done, we still had to organize the whole trip and design the ultimate road trip route through america while keeping seasons in mind.
It was a lot of hard work but we are happy we did it. We are now traveling through the USA for months and we had so much support from Americans on the road but also a lot of Dutch and other European people. The Americans helped us making this unique trip possible, and we in turn made this trip possible for Europeans that read our blogs and now understand what it takes to make a trip like this.
