Certificate of vaccination

Any person immunized with one of the vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO) will be able to set foot on Spanish soil from June 7, regardless of the epidemiological situation in their country. This could mean the entry into Spain of citizens of countries at extreme risk of covid-19 and we must not forget that to date the vaccine has not been shown to prevent the transmission of the disease.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Friday that “from June 7, tourists from all countries with which there is no full freedom of movement, including the United States, will be able to enter Spain provided they have received a certificate of the complete vaccination schedule that has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO)”.

That is, within two weeks, all vaccinated tourists can travel to Spain, even if they come from countries that are not classified as “safe”, both inside and outside the European Union (EU). In that sense, it also includes those that are currently considered “extreme risk” due to the coronavirus.
