As a cultural link between Europe en Asia Turkish Istanbul has the advantage of both worlds. Shopping centers go hand in hand with typical bazaars full of oriental influences. The bazaar of Kadiköy, for example, is a feast for the eyes. Here you can enjoy without spending a cent. The pleasant atmosphere immediately puts you at ease. You can find everything here, from clothing to even poultry. The art bazaar Sanatlan Carsis and the Egyptian bazaar with its spices, coffee and fruits are also special. From the bazaars full of kiosks you go in the blink of an eye to the mega-mall of Tepe Nautilus. No fewer than 140 shops are screaming for your attention here. If you go for the trendy shops, visit Istiklal Caddesi, also known as the Turkish Kalverstraat. The major disadvantage of Istanbul is the traffic, there is simply no getting through. I say, bring your bike!

8.Bangkok

The many mega malls offer you everything your heart desires, such as MBK for the low budget variant or Siam Center for the fashion-conscious shopper. Even more fun is the Chatuchak Market. Feel free to take a day to look for jewellery, clothing, art or even animals (!). Bangkok is ideal for a shopper who wants to buy a lot with little money. Of course, the top brands can also be found all over the city. Especially Siam Discovery is the place where the new designers show their clothing skills.

Hop on the Thalys and be seduced by the glittering shops and chic department stores of Paris. Luxury fashion can be found in Avenue Montaigne. Dior and Louis Vuitton, among others, are based here. Also nice are the markets along the Seine where you can stroll along the stalls at your leisure. The Le Marais district offers affordable boutiques.
