Uganda's Top 5 Things to Do

1. Kidepo National Park

In the far northeast is the most special national park: Kidepo. In this national park bordering South Sudan, there are more than 75 different mammals and 470 bird species. The park is located in the Kaabong district. There you can get acquainted with a special population group of Uganda, namely: the Karamojong.

2.Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Gorilla Trekking)

The world-famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to the majestic mountain gorilla. The tropical rainforest in southern Uganda is one of the last places where this imposing great ape is still found in the wild. Groups of chimpanzees also live in the park.

We strongly advise you to book a gorilla trekking months in advance. There are only a very limited number of places available per day.

3.Murchison Falls National Park

Near the border with Congo Murchison Falls National Park is located. You can encounter the 'Big Five' of the African animal world (lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo and rhinoceros) here. You will almost certainly spot crocodiles and hippos on a boat trip on the Nile to the majestic Murchison Falls.

4. Sipi Falls

De . is one of the most popular places to visit in Uganda Sipi Falls, located in eastern Uganda. At an altitude of 1.600 meters you can admire no fewer than three beautiful waterfalls. Due to the high location, the climate is always pleasant. Ideal for resting in a lodge overlooking the falls and for taking walks. There are many chameleons in the area.

5. Queen Elizabeth National Park

There is clearly no shortage of national parks in Uganda. The Queen Elizabeth National Park is also a must-see. A boat trip on the Kazinga Canal, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George, should not be missed. Numerous bird species, hippos and crocodiles can be admired in and around the canal.
