Sometimes it is quite a search to think about where to travel for a nice weekend away in the Netherlands. Scheveningen is a wonderful place to get a breath of fresh air and you really get the feeling of being away from home. As far as I'm concerned, this is due to the lively boulevard with restaurants that give you the feeling of being abroad. In addition, the extensive sandy beach is the perfect place for an evening walk. (With a bit of luck) sun, sea and beach!

The first thing you notice when you arrive at Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach (location here) arrives, is the great location. The hotel is a nice place to stay for a weekend on the Dutch coast. Whether you are a business traveler, want a romantic weekend away with your boyfriend/girlfriend, a family looking for an unforgettable holiday, or just want to relax: the location is right on the Scheveningen beach and therefore simply perfect. You even have the chance to see seals sunbathing and as soon as you step out the door you can start walking on the beach.

• Stylish rooms

The hotel is known for its stylish and comfortable rooms. Each room is designed with attention to detail and equipped with modern amenities. The interior is elegant and contemporary, and some rooms even offer panoramic views of the sea, making you truly feel at one with the surrounding nature. There is a nice light and the bed in our room was wonderful! This hotel is ideal for both a rainy and a sunny day.

• Relaxation and Well-being

Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach also has excellent facilities for relaxation and well-being for the luxury cats among us. There is a wellness center with treatments and massages. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip all year round. We liked having a spa room to ourselves, because we really wanted to get away for a while with the two of us. We didn't need the hotel's wellness center, we were a bit spoiled, but very tasty!

The Spa room

I had already mentioned it briefly, but the hotel's spa room is an absolute must. We had a lovely hot tub with a view of the North Sea. There is also a private sauna in the room, which of course made us very happy. We were lucky enough to see a fantastic sunset from our hotel room. This of course made the evening extra romantic with such a fiery pink-red sky! Enjoying a glass of wine in the warm bubble bath that comes to light in the evening also offered us perfect relaxation. Actually, 1 night in the room was too short, and we would have liked to stay a little longer!

LuxuryHotels

We booked our spa room through this page from Booking.com. There was a significant discount on the room here, which made for an affordable overnight stay. For 225 euros in total for 1 night (112,50 per person) we booked the room with private hot tub and sauna! Not only do you pay for the overnight stay, it also includes breakfast and a 3-course dinner. We thought this was ideal, because we were looking for a weekend of rest. This way we could sleep, eat and enjoy the wellness for a good price. You can also use the swimming pool for free during your stay.

3-course dinner

The 3-course dinner that is included in the price via LuxuryHotels is a surprise dinner. We are not the fussiest eaters, and we do like a surprise. Isn't this you? It might then be useful to look at other options. Of course you can pass on your preferences or wishes. There are plenty of options for vegetarians (like me) and real meat eaters (like my friend). The food was delicious for the stomach, and for the eyes!

Directly on the beach

To end our relaxing weekend with some exercise, we of course opted for a walk on the beach. This also takes little effort, because with one foot out of the hotel you are already on the beach. If you are thinking of a relaxing day of sun, sea and beach, this is the place to be. With its extensive sandy beaches, lively boulevard and refreshing sea breeze, Scheveningen is a true paradise for beach lovers.

Whether you fancy a quiet walk along the waterline, a refreshing dip in the North Sea or just laze on the sand with a good book, you will find everything you are looking for here. And when the sun sets, Scheveningen turns into a bustling hotspot, with countless beach bars and restaurants that serve delicious dishes and create a lively atmosphere.

The Hague center

We had to leave the hotel at 12:00 (with great reluctance, we could still spend hours in the hot tub...). With our bags loaded into the car, a visit to the bustling city center of The Hague could not be missed. Beyond the beautiful dunes and the nearby Scheveningen beach, nature made way for architecture. From the imposing parliament buildings and majestic palaces to the picturesque canals and cozy squares, The Hague exudes history and culture. We were not on the cultural tour this time, so we got an ice cream and prepared for a shopping session.

Conclusion

Intel Hotels Marina Beach gave us an unforgettable experience. A truly relaxing weekend full of wonderful wellness activities. If you do decide to book this hotel, I would definitely recommend choosing the Spa room. The facilities ensure that you really relax, and you no longer have to arrange anything for dinner and breakfast. Ease!
