The weather (67%), culture (60%) and food (58%) will be the three biggest factors in 2024 when it comes to determining a holiday destination. When it comes to the most popular activities culture is high on the agenda of Dutch travelers. Tasting local food (57%), the beach (56%) and historical tours (46%) are considered the most important by travelers.
The importance of value
De value for money will remain an important factor for Dutch travelers in 2024, with the cost of the flight (28%) and the hotel (26%) being the most important factors when choosing a destination.
However, a third (33%) of Dutch travelers will have one before 2024 bigger budget set aside for travel compared to 2023, while 48% will spend the same. Only 9% have said they will spend less.
