If you would like to snorkel and/or dive in Egypt, spring, summer and early autumn are the ideal travel periods (April to November). The water is then around 28 degrees and a wetsuit of 3-5 mm is sufficient. When snorkeling it can be nice to wear a long-sleeved swim shirt, this also helps against sunburn. In the summer temperatures rise to 35 degrees, some people find this pleasant and others find it too hot. If you spend a lot of time in the water, you stay nice and cool! In winter the temperature drops towards 20 degrees and the sea is often a bit rougher.
